How Better Human is different
Free, or part of a membership
The Bible App for Kids costs nothing and has no ads. As of October 2026, Better Human costs $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan, and it has no ads either. The membership also covers you, from your daily verse and prayer to the whole Bible read aloud. If you would not use the grown-up side, the free app is the better value. Prices may change.
How the stories are told
The Bible App for Kids tells 41 animated stories with touch-activated scenes. Better Human has 31 painted Bible story films, read aloud with words to follow, so early readers can track along. Each film ends with what it teaches and a short prayer. The films are grouped by lesson, such as being brave, trusting God, kindness and helping, and forgiveness and love. The free app has more stories, and Better Human's are arranged around the lessons you may want to teach.
Play time
Both apps mix play with learning. Better Human's crayon coloring book has 6 pages from the stories, and the crayon stays inside the shape it starts in, so little hands color neatly. A finished page can be shared as a card with your child's name on it. In Catch the Blessings, your child moves a basket to catch good things like love, peace and kindness, and to dodge bad ones like anger and worry. Its 9 stages are set in places from the Bible.
Profiles and story time
Each child gets a profile in Better Human, with their own colored pictures and their own game stages, which helps when siblings share one iPhone. While your child plays, your angel explains each stage of the game out loud. An optional Story time reminder, at the hour you choose, can make a painted story film part of bedtime, read aloud in a calm voice and ending with a short prayer. If a calm Bible story before sleep is part of your family's routine, Better Human is built for that.
