Voices and versions
Dwell lets you choose from more than 20 narrators across 14 translations. Better Human reads the World English Bible aloud, all 66 books, in a library that picks up where you left off. You can listen to any chapter, follow guided reading paths and keep highlights and notes. If you care which narrator reads the Psalms, or you want to hear the ESV or NIV, Dwell gives you that choice and Better Human does not.
Music and sleep
Dwell can play background music under the reading and has a sleep mode for drifting off to Scripture. Better Human's audio library includes calm prayers, meditations and sleep sounds. For children, the 31 painted story films are read aloud in calm voices, and an optional Story time reminder can mark bedtime at the hour you choose. If your own bedtime routine is a chapter of Scripture with soft music behind it, Dwell is built for exactly that.
Beyond listening
Better Human pairs its audio Bible with a daily companion, an angel you name, who answers in one of six voices with Scripture and stories from the Bible. Each morning it reads you a verse, a short reflection and a prayer. You can keep a prayer list, share requests on a moderated Prayer Wall and write a few lines in a private journal. Small habits for faith, health and relationships, ticked off with one tap, round out the day.
Children and the household
Dwell offers kids' content, plus Duo and Family plans so others in your home can have their own accounts. Better Human has no family plan. Children get their own space inside your app, with a profile for each child. It holds 31 painted Bible story films with words to follow, a crayon coloring book and the Catch the Blessings game.
